CIWA was founded in 2019 as an organization committed to gender equity and the protection of fundamental rights of indigenous women. Their goal is to build the capacity of indigenous women to lead and take ownership of development processes in Cambodian indigenous communities and society at large. CIWA promotes women’s voice and representation at the local and national level. They promote gender equality and work to end violence against women. CIWA trains human rights defenders and provides legal aid to women involved in the legal justice system.

Cambodia Indigenous Youth Association, Cambodia
Cambodia Indigenous Youth Association (CIYA) was established in 2005 and was the first indigenous youth group officially recognized by the Ministry of Interior of Cambodia. CIYA was established by a group of Indigenous students who came to Phnom Penh for their higher education. Their goals were to create a safe and nurturing place they could live and study together in the city, help each other in their studies, and share ideas.
CIYA seeks to encourage other Indigenous youth to pursue their studies, from primary level to the university level, and to share each other’s culture, traditions and Indigenous peoples’ knowledge so they have a greater capacity to support the needs of their communities.

FORTUNE, Thailand
FORTUNE is a grassroots organization in Fang District in Northern Thailand founded in 2009. Its mission is to address the community and human rights needs of workers who live and work in migrant camps on agricultural farms along the Thai-Myanmar border.
​They support migrants by bridging the gap between workers and essential Thai governmental service, focus on legal literacy and administrative navigation, provide healthcare support for mothers and children, and promote learning by providing students with the necessary supplies and nutrition to thrive in school.

Green Community Volunteers, Laos
Green Community Volunteers (GCV) was founded in 2009 and operates in Luang Prabang Province in North Central Laos. GCV seeks to empower communities on women and youth rights, environmental issues, biodiversity preservation, and food security through creative arts and cultural exchanges.
GCV is developing community managed food forests to compensate for food security losses in areas where huge development projects have negatively impacted environments and livelihoods.

THE ASSOCIATION FOR GREEN, LAOS
The Association of Green (TAG) is a small nonprofit headquartered in Vientiane, with projects in several provinces in Laos. Their primary purpose is to promote environmentally sound, sustainable, and financially viable agricultural practices in rural Lao communities. TAG’s projects are designed to educate, empower, and support farmers with sustainable and organic agricultural practices.
