Gaining knowledge and insight.
Pangea members have the opportunity to learn and grow with our grantees who courageously strive to improve life where resources and opportunities are so scarce.

A unique opportunity.
A lot can be lost or misunderstood in written grant applications or in digital communication. This is especially true across languages and different cultures.
Site visits provide a rich opportunity to understand the environment in which our grantees work, adding depth and connection to our partnerships.

Crucial to our work.
Site visits are an important element of Pangea’s work. They deepen our knowledge by providing opportunities to learn more about our partners and meet local community members. We gain insight into the political, social, economic, and environmental challenges these communities face.
Spending time with grantees builds personal connections and understanding that strengthens our long-distance communication.

Monitoring and Evaluation.
While on site visits, members observe programs, assess the leadership and staffing, review financial information, and confirm that grantees are following the grant guidelines and agreements.
We often visit potential new partners, as well. After the site visits, team members share their experiences and learning with other Pangea members through educational events, blogs, and at regional grant committee meetings.
